Kevin Kirwan uses image, video, text and sculpture to create aphoristic events familiar to us all. These events begin as ruptures in every day life, crystalline moments where multiple spheres of experience come in to alliance. These moments can be miniature or monumental and can be made up of many elements or just one. The nature of the work lies in human experience, both real and imagined and defiantly tries to capture the indescribable.

Kirwan is based in Dublin. He received a BA in Fine Art, from National College of Art and Desigh 2009. Exhibitions include It Went Like This, Cake Contemporary Arts, 2011, All Humans Do, The Whitebox New York & The Model Sligo, 2012, Transitive Relationships, LCGA, 2012 and Gracelands, Leitrim, 2011. Forthcoming exhibitions include (((O))) Clonlea Studios, Blackrock, 2013 and Solitary (In No Particular Order) with David Beattie curated by Aoife Tunney, Goethe Institut Irland 2013. He is currently on residency at the Guesthouse Cork and has received the Irish Residdential Studio Award at the Red Stables.
