Tim Stott, Playground

Tim Stott is Lecturer in Art History and Theory at Dublin Institute of Technology and Associate Researcher at the Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media, Dublin. He has a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting (2003) and an MSc in Contemporary Art Theory (2004), both from Edinburgh College of Art, and a PhD in contemporary art criticism from the Department of Visual Culture at NCAD. He has published widely on contemporary art in journals such as Afterall, Art Review, Circa, Frieze, Printed Project, and Variant and is currently preparing a monograph on the use of play and games in contemporary art and co-editing a collection of essays revisiting modernism through the lens of complex systems theory.
